I happened on a really interesting program last night on the effects of stress. Here’s a clip from the show. Enjoy.

Interesting that animals in the animal kingdom have only about 3 hours of stress per day.

I recently discovered that Mother Teresa in Calcutta spent only 3 hours a day on the streets with the people and the rest of the day she spent in meditation and prayer. This is how she was so effective in her role of reaching the poor. Look at her world wide popularity.

I think in our day to day we try to do too much and we become less and less effective and burn ourselves out. Families and relationships become broken often because we work too hard and then take the effects of our stress on them.

Love the Stanford Prof’s hair and beard. If I met him on the street, I’d not think he was a Stanford prof. :) His students are more clean cut than him. Wow, things have changed since I was in college. Sweet.

Wow. I just started reading Shawn Talbott’s “The Cortisol Connection” and he made the same Zebra getting eaten/sweating The Job comparison.

And at today’s prices, I figure it takes every minute of the 8 hours I work just to survive, and I still have to take the crap from some baboon in a suit…

    Good posting, Cosmo!
